Research in the School of Mathematics and Statistics

La Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya has more than two hundred professors and researchers who do research in mathematics and its applications.

The research is organized mainly through the research groups. These groups receive funding from various institutions (universities, local government (Generalitat de Catalunya), ministry, European Community) to develop their projects and can establish agreements with companies for activities of knowledge transfer. Most research groups have their own website, where you can find information about their activities and results, and, in some cases, have their own infrastructure: staff for administration and/or technical support, laboratories, etc..
