Infrastructure and equipment

 

Computer rooms

The FME has 4 computer rooms: PC1, PC2, PC3 and PC4, with 20, 35, 20 and 20 computers respectively.
All the computers can be started with Windows 10 or Linux Ubuntu, and have installed the necessary software to do the practices and exercices of the subjects taught at the Faculty.

Classrooms
All the rooms of the Faculty have a projection screen, an audio system and a projector connected to the professor's computer. The computer setup is the same as the one in computers of the computer rooms.

Laptops
There are different laptops with basic software to be used in the Hall or in the Boardroom.
You can reserve them as you make the reservation of the room.

Study room
The study room has 9 computers with the same setup as the computers in the computer room. The library has a laptop loan service.

Printing service
Canon España S.A. is in charge of the printing services in the UPC.

There ara several Canon printers (A3/A4, double sided, color printer and scanner) all around the university.
In the FME, a Canon printer can be found in the ground floor, next to the Administration Office.

You can send your job from any computer in the computer rooms. Your job will be held in the printing queue for 24h, and after that will be deleted. Printed jobs can be collected from any Canon printer using your UPC Student Card or your credentials.

You can also scan any document and send it to your email address, or save it in a USB memory, and send PDF files to be printed from your UPC address to repromobil.canon@upc.edu.

This is a prepaid service: you must top-up your card at the centres de reprografia or the self-service machines.You can find them in 'ETSEIB i l'ETSAB.

  • Copy/print B/W, DIN-A4, two sides: 0,04477€ (each side).
  • Copy/print B/W, DIN-A4, one side:: 0,04961€.
  • Copy/print color, DIN-A4: 0,11374€
  • Copy/print color, DIN-A3: 0,22748€
  • Scan: free

Search terminal
Situated in front of the FME Secretary, you can access to the UPC web from it.

Wireless network
The is wireless connexion to Internet in several places of the FME. For more information, go to the UPC wireless web.
