Description

This BA degree is to be replaced by the inter-university degree in Statistics UB-UPC and the inter-university master in Statistics and Operations Research UPC-UB. The academic year 2011-2012 will be the last one with student admission and teaching on the first year. On the academic year 2012-2013 there will be no teaching on the first year, and it will be the last time when lessons are given on the second. Students who have any pending subject which has no teaching anymore will be able to register it and pass the corresponding exams during three academic years after the last one in which lessons were given.

This second cycle studies offer you a solid knowledge base on statistical and operations research methods to improve collecting data and information analysis processes in enterprises and institutions and to help you get started with research activities.

 

Most of the subjects of this degree teach the necessary software to manage databases and high level applications, oriented to the needs and demands of the labor market today. This practical training favors the student-professor relationship and helps the students to get a personalized attention at a School with a reduced number of students, in a non-overcrowded environment.
